It is now getting close to departure for the winter-voyage with Christian Radich, January 4th. You have to be onboard latest 5 pm. If you will arrive the day before, please inform us if you arrive after 8 pm.  Christian Radich will be at the cruiseterminal, easily seen. The airport is located approx. 18 km’s south of Las Palmas. There are two means of transport:

  1. Bus, which is cheap. A direct bus (no. 60) leaves from the departure hall (above the arrival hall) once per hour. Ask the information desk! Leave the bus at the Cruise terminal roundabout, see map underneath.
  1. Taxi, which costs approx. € 35. Taxis take up to four passengers, so those who join forces may get an affordable transportation solution. Ask the taxi to stop at the cruise terminal. It is called in Spanish “Muelle Sta. Catalina” (muelle = quay, pronounced: moejje)

On this link you can always see where Christian Radich is.

Each trainee will be assigned to one of three watch teams which have 4 hours on duty and 8 hours off – both day and night. You can read more about the job you do as trainee on our web site:

 What should I pack?

We are in southern waters, but  even here, the most important thing to remember when packing is clothes that are waterproof, windproof and good shoes. It can be cold, especially  on night watches. Here is link to the packing-list:
