It is now getting close to departure for the North Sea Tall Ships Regatta with Christian Radich, from Blyth to Gothenburg. On the map, you can see where you find Christian Radich in Blyth. You can always keep track of where Christian Radich is.

Blyth and Gothenburg

In Blyth, hundreds of thousands of visitors are expected to show up for the events, which include fireworks by night, live music and grand parades. You can read more about the events here. If you are spending the night on board August 28th, the deck will be rented out for an event, and we recommend you to go ashore and feel the atmosphere in port. Check-in will be as usual.

You can read about the arrangements  in Gothenburg here.

On Saturday evening we have signed the crew and trainees up for the “Crew Stage Challenge”. Each crew performs in front of the audience ashore, and a jury will award the best ship. If you have any ideas for a song or something fun that the trainees can rehearse on board, you can contact the steward. All ideas are welcome!

In Gothenburg, the deck will be rented out September 4th and 5th. The guests have no access  below deck, but we recommend you to be ashore and join the festivities.

When the ship leaves Blyth, each trainee will be assigned to one of three watch teams which have 4 hours on duty and 8 hours off – both day and night. You can read more about the job you do as trainee here. Have you not received our handbook, please contact us at postmaster@radich.no and we will send you one.

What should I pack?

The most important thing to remember when packing is clothes that are waterproof, windproof and good shoes. The packing and information list has been sent to your email address.
