Christian Radich is moored out in the river Thames, crew and trainees have to take shuttleboats to the ship. The shuttles will start to go from the ORNC-garden, opposite the regular ticket offices of Thames clipper and City Cruises (see map below) at 1600 on Sunday 16th. If you arrive Greenwich later than 1800, please inform us as soon as possible.

On this site you find information about Greenwich and how to get here: https://www.visitgreenwich.org.uk/tall-ships-festival-villages/.

The ship will leave Greenwich the next morning. Each trainee will be assigned to one of three watch teams which have 4 hours on duty and 8 hours off – both day and night. You can read more about the job you do as trainee on our web site: https://www.radich.no/en/join-us.

On this link https://my.yb.tl/christianradich/ you can always see where Christian Radich is. Friends and family at home, would perhaps think it’s nice to follow the race.

You will hopefully have some exciting days at sea before you arrive Sines. The opening ceremony is Friday 28th at 5 pm, so all ships have to be moored before that time. You can stay onboard until the 29th. On Saturday the city will arrange Crew-parade and Crew-party. Some of you have also booked the night from 29th and it includes breakfast in the morning. If not and you want to book this extra night, it costs € 60, e-mail to postmaster@radich.no

What should I pack?

The most important thing to remember when packing is clothes that are waterproof, windproof and good shoes. It can be cold at sea, especially at night, and we are still in April. Here is link to the packing-list: https://www.radich.no/en/packinglist/
